Almentia Academy is a year round school committed to accommodating the schedule of busy students. The new school year starts July 1, 2020. We have a 4-day school week with no school on Field Trip Fridays. The school calendar displays the maximum number of days the school will be closed due to teacher development, conferences, holidays, and vacations. Students are not required to start school in July 2020, if their schedules do not permit. On the other hand, students may work through school closure dates and take those days off at a later time with notice. Students enrolling after the July 1, 2020 start date, will be placed on the rolling admissions calendar (approximately 47 days per quarter) for the remainder of the year. Our goal is to be as flexible as possible.
Due to Covid-19 school disruptions, we encourage students to get a head start by enrolling at the start of the school year. If a student starts the school year in October 2020, the student will have until October 2021 to complete the courses. However, we recommend college bound Seniors (2021 graduates) to enroll no later than July 30, 2020 to allow sufficient time for graduate status to appear on transcripts before college courses begin. Senior student athletes who do not graduate before August 15, 2021 may jeopardize their eligibility for NCAA Division I, II, and III schools.
